Our next meeting will focus on people using or making sound!

Peter Redecopp

Born and raised in Alberta, Peter Redecopp completed his BFA at ACAD in 2007. As a Media Artist his practice has included sculpture, installation, audio/visual performance, GPS drawing & more. Redecopp also performs & releases experimental audio recordings under the alias RDC, and has performed in a variety of venues across Canada.

Redecopp currently lives and works in Montreal, where he is completing his MFA in open media at Concordia University.
Sunny Randhawa
Sunny will be presenting the Native instruments : Traktor Scratch Pro software, Audio 8 Hardware interface and Kontrol X1 hardware interface. http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/dj/traktor-pro/

He will also be talking about analogue vs digital and tactile control surfaces.

Sunny was born and brought up in New Delhi, India  and graduated from high school and university in there before moving to Calgary 16 years ago. He enjoys the mountains and likes taking walks on hiking trails and that was his primary reason to choose Calgary as an abode; not to mention the lowest cost of living in all of Canada, back then.

In his own words “I enjoy most forms of music. I have been a disc Jockey since i was 18 and have performed at various big and small events in different parts of the world. I have also done a few radio shows on university radio. I specialize in the “GOA”sound and world ethnic beat music with electronic influences, like the Buddha Bar music. I am currently working on mixing a musical programme for Yoga flow and practise. My other hobbies include photography using 35 mm black and white film format and reading philosophy and ancient texts from India.”

Many thanks to EMMEDIA for donating our space this month.
